LIBERAL PROPHECY
"TWO MINISTERS WILL FAIL:"
A prophecy concerning the result of the elections was made by the Leader of the Liberal Party (Sir Joseph Ward) at his Town Hall meeting last-night. ' ''I take .this opportunity of telling you," he said, "that on the morning of the' 18th you will find that two gf the present Ministers will not go back to Parliament if my information is correct—(applause)— and that the majority will be on the side of the Liberals. (Applause.) You will find that, although there is a crossing of votes in different parts of the country, the Liberal Party is going, to be the strongest party in the Parliament, of ijthis country. (A voice : 'No.!' and loud applause.) And ... I. want to .appeal from this platform disinterestedly to'the men and Women throughout. New Zealand: Don't make the mistake. at this election of throwing your vnts3 aWay. It doesn't matter in what electorate, Übii't throw your votes away, lest you.piit a reactionary Government in power.". (Applause.) , ■•
