LONDON, 15th December. The merchants and manufacturers of South Wales formed a deputation to Mr. Lloyd George, drawing attention to tho transport congestion. Mr Lloyd George attributed the congestion to war time, the wear on locomotives and wagons, the introduction, of the oight-hour day, the ironmoulders' strike, and the increased rail traffic owing to the rise in coastal shipping freights. He promised to reorganise shipping labour, and Coal control, and to speed up the building *of . rolling stock. He appealed to Labour, arid Capital to pull together, enabling the country to triumphantly enter the period of unprecedented prosperity in which ha hoped all classes would participate.
