GORALA FROM NEW YORK.
The A. and A. liner Gorala arrived at Wellington yesterday morning from I^ew York with about 30011 tons of general cargo for discharge at this port. She wilt leave for Melbourne on Saturday to complete discharge. The Gorala, for which the New Zealand and African Company are the local agents, left New York on the'loth November. She experienced an uneventful voyage. The Gorala was built by Workman, Clarke, and Co., Belfast, and is on her maiden voyage. She averaged 11.5 knots on her triiils. She is 400 ft long, 52ft 3m beam, and 28ft 4in deep, and has a gross .tonnage of s_>» Captiiin T. H. Becehing is in command, and Inis with him the following officers:—Chief, \lr W. 0. Headman; second, Mr. D. F. GorYon- third. Mr. J. Litbgow; fourth, Mr. W. It. Christie; fifth. Mr. J. Caldwell; radio operator- Messrs. W. N. Holmes and -. E, Wat- , son; "cadets, Messrs. H. Sugcltt, G. M. KidaJl, T. B. Dazkin, and _. M. Chandler. T_--Gc- , : rala carries a coolie crew.
