CASTLE'S PRESCRIPTION PHARMACIES.
Situated at 139, Riddiford-street, opposite. Rintoul-street junction, and also at 189, Riddiford-street (Our Theatre Buildings), are specially convenient for residents of Berhampore, Island Bay, Lyall Bay, Seatoun, Maranui, Kilbirnie, Melrose, etc. They are certainly two of the most up-to-date pharmacies in Wellington. The proprietor, Mr. John Castle, M.P.S., established himself in the drug trade at Newtown many years ago, and progress lias been the order of the daySpecial attention has- always been given to the dispensing department, and both pharmacies are in charge of registered chemists, by examination. A glance at the prescription register showed the number to be over sixty-two thousand (62,000), a very respectable total, indicating at once the immense popularity of that Department. Both pharmacies specialise also in photo goods, carrying good stocks of cameras, plates, films, etc. Printing and developing orders receive prompt attention. Well-stocked shelves, first-class brands of drugs, nicely arranged show cases, and up-to-date and tastefully decorated front show windows give these two pharmacies a marked individuality Special Christmas goods which attracted our attention were notably cameras, cutcx manicure sets, perfume caskets, brushware, choice toilet soaps and powders, a fine display of the famous 65 lavender water, in bottles specially suitable for Christmas presents, and ladies' bathing caps, for which there is a good demand at this holiday season of the year.
