Riddell, S.M., yesterday . regarding the death of a returned soldier named Henry Harris, aged 38 years, who died suddenly at his place of residence, 69, Kent-ter-race, on .Saturday aiternoon. From the evidence it appeared that Harris, who returned to tho Dominion in March, 1917, had been wounded by gunfire in the lungs, and that a piece of metal had remained embedded in the bone at tho base of the fourth rib on the right side. Deceased had been unwell since Thursday, and on Saturday was seized with a fit of coughing which terminated fatally. Earlier in the day Dr. Gilmer advised Harris to go to the Hospital, but the deceased declined to be moved. Dr. W. Kington Fyft'e, who had made a postmortem examination of the body, stated that there were evidences of tuberculosis in the lungs, and expressed the opinion that death was due to early pneumonia in a man already suffering from lung and heart trouble.
