WELLINGTON HARMONIC SOCITY.

For the final concert of tha 1919 season the Wellington Hawnonio Society has decided to give a "request" programme on Saturday in tho Concert Chamber of the Town Hall. The bassoon as a solo instrument is very rarely heard on the concert platform, but on this occasion the society is being assisted' by Mr. B. Yeares, who has had considerable experience in the Old Country, and who will contribute bassoon solos, including the houmorous number "Lucy Long" (Fred. Godfrey). The vocal soloist for the evening is Miss Peggy Jones (a member of tho society). A welcome appearance will be that of "The Harmonic" male quartette, which won the recent competitions in the quartette section. Mr. H. Temple White i 3 the conductor, and Mr. Harold Whittle will be the accompanist. The box plan is now open at the Bristol.
