ARRIVAL AT SOURABAYA

BATAVIA, 6th December.

Captain Roes-Smith passed Batavia at 3.25 this afternoon, and arrived and landed at Kalidjotte at 4 o'clock. In an interview he stated that he would start at daylight to-morrow for Sourabaya, four hours' flight, if the weather were favourable. In any case he was within four days of Australia. Dutch flying officers shouldered him on arrival at Kalidjotte, and carried him to the presence of the Goverrior-General, who welcomed him.

WELTEVERDEN, 6th December,

Captain Ross-Smith left Kalidjotte for Sourabaya at 7.30 o'clock this morning, and arrived at Sourabaya at noon.
