In giving evidence before the Epidemic Commission in New Zealand, Dr. T. H. A. Valintine, Chief Health Officer of the Dominion, said: r-" From what I have seen during the epidemic 1 am convinced that it is necessary that alcohol should be available for the people."

Prohibitionists would prevent yon from using alcoholic beverages even in health, and as the Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand has determined by resolution in Conference to have nothing whatever to do with the supply of alcoholic liquors—should prohibition be carried—the Prohibitionists Will make it impossible for you to obtain aicohol in case of sickness, and Dr, Valintine says: "I am convinced that it is necessary that alcohol should be available for the people."
