MARTINSYDE SETS OUT
(Received December 5, 9 a.m.)
LONDON, 4th December
Captain C. B. Ho well, in the Martinsyde aeroplane, left the Hounslow aerodrome at 9.34 a.m. (for tho Australian flight. He made an excellent start.
[Captain Howell's 'attempt is interesting because of the elaborate preparations lie has made to equip his aeroplane for the special and varying conditions of the flight. He has a chain of dumps along the route, and deposits of "spares," in addition to those he is carrying. At Calcutta is a set of floats, to convert tho machine into a seaplane. Poulet also converted his aeroplane at Calcutta.]
