LONDON, 27th November. Butter and Cheese.—The produce trade is hopeful that the control of butter and cheese may be removed in the earl} spring. It is understood that the Government recently paid about S3OS per cwt f.o.b. for Danish butter, delivery till February. Wheat and Flour.—Quiet: prices unchanged A fair quantity of ■■ Australian flour has been allocated. Oats.—Weak. La Plata, in spot, 52s 8d and 535. Beans and Peas—Quiet. Sugar—Unchanged.

BRADFORD WOOL SALES,
LONDON, 27th November. At the Bradford wool sales the prices continue to harden. There is a strong demand, but business is restricted owing to topmakers limited committments.

LONDON, ?7th November. The shareholders of the Bank of Australasia have approved the proposal to issue 25,000 further £40'shares and to capitalise reserves.

CHRISTCHURCH PRODUCE MARKET.

CHRISTCHURCH. 2nd December1. Operations locally in all produce lines are very limited and confined practically to deals between merchants. Moreover, the quantities have been small, and at recent quotations oats continue firm, 6s per bushel being obtainable at country stations for A grade Cartons, Algerians, and Duns. An offer at 5s 3d was declined for h good line of Duns, which are in very short supply. Holders anticipate a further advance in values. A firm demand is also maintained for chaff, which is in request from the North Island. Up to £7 15s per ton is obtainable at cduntry stations, with no marked disposition on the part of holders to sell. There is little wheat offering.
The Department of Agriculture, Industries, and Commerce has received the following cable gram, dated 29th November, 191!), from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London :— "Hemp: Manila market quiet, and prices slightly weaker at the end of the week. ",l" grade near shipment quoted £51. October-December shipments have been sold for £49 10s; JanuaryMarch shipments, .£SO. New-Zealand, market inactive, but steady. Highpoints, OctoberDecember shipments quoted at £48, fair grade,
Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report that at Te Horo on Wednesday a small entry of sheep and a heavy, yarding of cattle met with a good demand.
