WEATHER FORECAST.
At 9 a.m. to-day the following forecast was ifsned for the subsequent 24 hours:—
Winds—Southerly winds, strong and squally at times, but decreasing shortly.
Barometer—Rising tendency
Seas—Heavy on the east coast south of East Cape; considerable on the western coast"; moderate elsewhere.
Tides—Pligh southward of Castlepoint; good northwards to East Cape; moderate elsewhere.
Warning signals for southerly gales are exhibited at Castlepoint, Cape Campbell, and Nugget Point.
Weather — Cold, changeable weather generally with passing showers, especially along the East Coast, but conditions improving soon; a very cokl night, with frosts inland.
