The following cases of influenza were reported between noon 24th November and noon 27th November:—Auckland, mild 39, pneumonic 1. severe 4, total 44; Wellington 26, 1, 0. 27; Canterbury, 11, 5, 0, 16;— totals, 76, 7, 4, 87. Two additional appointments as Inspectors of Ships' Gear have been made under the Waterside Workers' Regulations. The successful- applicants are: Messrs. R. J. Upson, of Port Chalmers, and J. Laurenson, of Melrose, Wellington. It was reported to the last meeting of the Trentham Dominion Art Union Committee that the result of the art union as at 28th November was £37,259 9s Bd.
