INTERESTING SHOW AT NEWTOWN
The annual show of the New Zealand Tgy Dog C'lnb was opened hi the Victoria Hall, Newtown, yesterday. Dogs from all over New Zealand are being, exhibited, and the entries are a record for the. club. All classes are well represented, particularly the Pekingese, for which class record entries were received.' The judges are-Mr W. Fraser Durwa.d, Palmerston North (Pomeranians and Pekingese), and Mr. J. T. E. \Hannah, Wellington (all other breeds). The show was officially opened yesterday morning by Mr. P. B. Phipson (president of the dub). Following is a summary of the results of yesterday morning's judging : — Australian Terriers (blue and tan, or grey and tan) .- R. P. Roberts, two firsts; Mrs. Q. Turrell, one first and two seconds; Mrs. Annie Walters, two firsts ; W. H. Peter, two firsts; and John Brodie, one first. Australian Terriers (clear, sandy, or red) : Master W.. Scotttwo firsts' and one second; J. Pope, one first. Sydney Silk Terriers : Miss V. Warburton, one first and one third; Mrs. M. Howell, one second; Miss C, LBeacinall, one first; A. W. Sakey, two firsts and six thirds; Miss M. Speed, three seconds ;' Mrs. W. H. S. Peters, three firsts; Barlow Wills, one first; Mrs J. E. Hart; one first and one third;. P. Billing, one second and one third; Mrs. Alice Farmer, one first; WE, Clarke, three seconds. French Poodles : W. R. Loouer, two firsts and uoe second; Miss M. Cowley, two seconds; J. B.
