FEILDING, This Day.
The first' day of the Feilding races was held to-day. Ho'av}' rain fell tins morning, but it was fine for the first race. Results :—
Aorangi Trial Plate, of 160 soys; five furlongs and a-half.—War Baby, 7.7, 1; Festival, 7.7, 2; Kickapoo, 7.7, 3. Scratched : Kapiti, Simon, Woden. Won by two lengths. Time, lmin lOsec.
Wailuna Hack Hurdles, of 160. soys; one mile and a-half.—Lepanto, 9.0, 1; Whiro, 11.5, 2; Hushabye, 9.0, 3. Scratched : Combustion, Zeus, Torps, Tuticorn. Won by three lengths. Time, 2min 49sec.
Spring Hurdles, 250 soys; about two miles—Maractotara, 10.12, 1, Sir Donald 9.5, 2; Yankee Jack, 11.9, 3. Scratched : Papanui. Won by a length. Time, 4 mm 4 4-ssec.
Flying Stakes, 300 soys ; 6. furlongs— Jutland, 7.9, 1; Birkenvale, 7.8, 2; Demos, 8.3, 3. . AH started. Won easily by half a. length. Time, lmin 15 3-ssec.
