MR. J. W. JOYNT

AN INCORRECT REPORT.

.An error in [the transmission of a cable message last week led to a rumour that Mr J. W. Joynt, late Registrar of the University of New Zealand and now Agent for the University in London, was dead and obituaries were published in the press. As there were reasonable grounds in the opinion of the University authorities for doubting the accuracy of the report, the University office cabled to the High Commissioner in London, and has received a reply stating that Mr. Joynt is perfectly well.
