PROGRESS OF THE CAMPAIGN

The Prime Minister, as head of the Department, announced to-day ,'that the writs for both Maori and elections would be issued on ;_Bth November' Nominations for the _sr__pean elections will close on 6th December, and for the Maori elections on •Bth December. Polling day for the elections will be 17th Decem;ber, and for the Maori elections 16th •December. Writs are returnable for the -European election on 26th December, ,and for the Maori election ori 9th January. ■ '
