FURTHER REMAND GRANTED.

When the case/ of Domingo Carlos, charged with having on the. 4th November, at Wellington, assaulted William Russell so as to cause him actual bodily harm,, was called at tho Magistrate's Court to-day, Sub-Inspector Emerson asked for a further remand until the 19th inst. The man who had been assaulted wns still in Hospital, .and. it was possible that he may not be well enough to appear in a week's time. The remand was granted. There are two other charges against tlie accused : Using obscene language, and wilfully damaging two panes of.glass valued.it 15s, the property of William, Russell. ■
