AUSTRIAN STEAMER ORSOVA
At the outbreak of war, the Austrian steamer Orsova was interned in the Dutch East Indies, and importers have, up to the present, been unable to obtain delivery of their shipments by the vessel. The Wellington Chamber of Commerce to-day received the following cablegram from the Sydney Chamber of Commerce ; "Following cable received to-day from Scheepsagentuur Padang. Former Austrian steamer Oreova taken over by Allied Maritime Transport Council, is under Italian control. Italian captain is willing to deliver the cargo foiutf. aboard, originally destined for Australian ports. Cargo must be warehoused at Padang, and disposed of withl in one week. Reply immediately. Sug-. gest consignees communicate direct."
