Mr. Spencer R. Mason (late lieutenant in the R.N.V.R.) returned to Wellington by the Paparoa last week. He left Wellington at the end of 1916 as a sublieutenant ml the Motor- Boat Patrol, and served in the Auxiliary Patrol in the Adriatic, Mediterranean, and jEgean Seas (anti-submarine warfare).
