BRITISH OFFICER'S ADVENTURE
DARING ESCAPE FROM TURKEY.

LONDON, 3rd November,
It was related at the Prize Court that eight British officer prisoners at Yozgad, Turkey, in 1918, escaped and reached the coast in an emaciated condition, after untold -privations and hairbreadth escape's, including encounters with brigands. They swam to the Turkish, tug Hertha, lying) in the harbour, noiselessly raised the anchor, and rowed off under the nose of the sentry. They then started the engines, and made for Cyprus', steering by the sun. The Court congratulated the officers, and decreed the prize theirs.
