CAMERON BROS.

EJectrical Engineers.

This new firm of electrical engineers has opened in Queen-street -for the purpose of establishing a local Willard battery service station, and as this fact becomes better known motorists will find ip of immense benefit to them in the'successful running of their cars. Tho wholq pleasure of a modem motor is dependant upon the battery. - The old 'days of cranking the car by hand, messing with smelly carbide, etc., are gone. To-day the small pressure of the foot on a button in the floor of the,car should start the engine without leaving the seat, a turn of the hand should switch the lights on or off. But to do this the battery must be in good order, and to keep the battery in good order it must receive care and attention, which the usual carowner generally fails to do. This is where the Willard service station steps in. Messrs. Cameron Bros, are making a special study of storage batteries and battery charging. They are prepared to look after your battery for you and advise you when your battery is suffering from lack of charging or over-charging. This .especially applies to new batteries,, and every prospective car-owner, when taking over a new battery, should pay a visit to Messrs. Cameron Bros, and-see that their new battery is properly charged and ..fitted. New Willard batteries, no _ matter wherever purchased, can be registered at Cameron Bros., who will give them three months' guarantee and free repairs and twelve months' free service.. If a battery is to be treated properly the electrical system must be in good order, and Cameron 'Bros, are also making a specialty, of car electrical systems, and can carry out repairs and adjustments to any make or system of car. Nearly every make of car has a different electrical system, and a special study of these systems is a specialist's job.

Closely related to the storage battery is the electrical system. The one depends upon the other. If the dynamo is not | charging there is a leakage in the system, the battery will be starved, and will soon run down. A run-down battery must be taken off the car to be charged up. Once a battery is run down, the car dynamo is not powerful enough to charge it up again, and a battery that has been left run down for ,any length of time _ requires special treatment to'recharge it, the length of time being anything up to five weeks. Of xourse a car-owner cannot let his car be idle for this dength of time, and Cameron Bros, have provided rental . batteries for the use of owners whilst their batteries are being doctored up. In fact, Cameron Bros.' •store is a hospital for sick batteries. ■They carry stocks of new Willard batteries and battery parts, and are in a position to supply the motor garages in the district on trade terms. They- also carry out electric lighting and electrical work generally.
