TECHNICAL SCHOOL
MEETING OF THE BOARD
A meeting of the Technical Education Board was held last evening. Mr. 6. Fxost was in the chair, and there were also present: Messrs. C. A. Lawrence, W. H. Bennett, W. J. Thompson, L. M'Kenzie, A. G. Wallace, G. L. Stewart, L. 'Partridge, and T. Ballinger. The financial statement showed that the receipts amounted to £1890 :3s Id, as compared with £2052 4s for the same period last year. The expenditure amounted to £870 16s 6d, against £1092 13s lid for last year.
It was reported that the election, of members of the board, will take place during October. Messrs. C. A. Lawrence and H. M. Gore have already been elected to the board.
Mr. Partridge moved a vote of thanks to the chairman, and paid a tribute to the manner in which Mr.' Frost had' carried out his duties. ■ , ' .
In returning thanks, Mr. Frost expressed the hope that members would concentrate their attention on the new building. He felt that technical education had been neglected by the Government, but he hoped this would be remedied in the future.
