SUNDAY CONCERT.

The Waterside . Workers' Band. ■will give, another recital in the Grand Opera House on Sunday evening next. The programme includes the following well known artists :—Miss Eileen Driscoll, Mr. Herbert F. Wood, and Master T._ Gewge, a boy soprano, of whom critics have spoken highly. .He was the winner of two gold medals at Wellington and OTie> gold medal at Napier competitions. A crowded house is expected, and paftrons are advised to be in their seats early.

At the Carlton Hall on Saturday evening a social and dance was given to returned soldiers and sailors by a number of friends. During the evening; Mr. Percy Macauley was presented with a case of pipes by Councillor Hutchison. Mr. R. Macauley was M.C., and Mr. J. Prembable was president. Mr. E. J. King'presided at the piano.
