GLOAMING WINS SPRING STAKES AT ROSEHILL.
<CNIIED PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPTBIGBT.) SYDNEY, 21st September. The following is the result of races run at Rosehill on Saturday: — ■Spring. Stakes, one mile. Gloaming, by The Welkin—Light ..■ 1 Wolaroi, by Kenilworth—Widdeh Lass ... <3 Prince Viridis, by Prince Foote—La Crosse 3 Gloaming and Wolaroi made a great race. The former went ahead at the half distance, and won by a length. Cetigne was fourth. Spanner finished in the ruck. Time, Imin 40^sec. Rosehill Guineas, nine furlongs.—' Alfacre, by Linacre—Bewitch, 1; Golden Bubble, by Absurd—Catchfly, 2: Artilleryman, by Comedy King—Cross Battery, 3." There were fifteen starters, including Rossini. Won by a head. Time, Imin 53|sec Biplane and Bimeter ran unplaced in the Camelle Stakes, and Finmark in tho Rosehill Handicap.
