BANK OF NEW ZEALAND CAPITAL
It is announced by the authorities of the Bank of New Zealand that the Right Hon. the Minister of Finance has sanctioned the bank's proposal to call up the £3 6s 8d per share of uncalled capital on the 150,000 ordinary shares of the bank at present paid up to only £3 6s 8d per share. It was agreed between the holders of ordinary shares and tho-bo_r_ in 1913, when the bank made its last issue of additional. capital, that this uncalled amount should bo called up within seven years, and the present time, when banking institutions in the loading, countries in the world are all strengthening their capital, is considered a suitable juncture at which to make the call.
Shareholders aro beiug notified that the call will bo made in January nest, and will bo payable in ono amount of £3 6s 8d per share on Ist April, 1920. After payment has been made, all tho ordinary shares, of the bank will be paid up to £6 13s 4d per. shore.
