LONDON, 7th August.
An official report issued by the War Office states that the Bolsheviks strongly hold Onega, but are inactive in the neighboui'hood. Successful British raids ha/ye been made on the railway front.
LONDON, sth August. A "Bolshevik wireless message states : After sixteen hours' fierce fighting in the streets of Onega, the Allied troops reembarked under a hurricane of fire from the ships'* which then moved northwards. The Bolshevik Artillery fired on the ships. . LONDON, 6th August. General Maynarcl's communique states : We made a successful land, and sea, and air raid at Lake; Onega, capturing Port T&lviuski. Two enemy armed steamers were captured^nd a third driven ashore.
