'' LONDON, 6th August. ■ The Government is introducing a Bill to establish'tribunals to deal.with profit- ■ eering, ■ '•■""• Sir Auckland Geddes_ (President of the. ; Board of Trade), in giving evidence be-' L fore the Profiteering Committee said tbat^ .new tribunals would be set up similar to the Military Service tribunals. They will be empowered to inflict fines of £20, ■ or refer the cases to a, court of summary j jurisdiction, which will be empowed to, inflict, penalties of £200, or six months' imprisonment, Appeal tribunals will ;be established for the protection, of trader*.
