Tho returns from the Hauraki goldfields have now shrunk practically to the yields from three mines in the Ohinemuri County. At Thames, however, the work is going on quietly on several small mines, so that there is a possibility that some.day in the future returns from that district will again appear in the list. Appended a,re the results for the month just ended:—Talisman, 260 tons, £2467 Os lid; Waihi, 16,037 tons, £26,239; Waihi Grand Junction, '6160 tons, £8943 ss; total, £35,489 3s lid.
