SUGGESTED REAPPOINTMENT OF YON ZEDLITZ.

(hi TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, 22nd July. The report from Wellington that steps are being taken to reappoint Professor yon Zedlltz to the position of Professor of Modern Languages at Victoria College was discussed by the executive of the Returned Soldiers' Association tonight. It was decided to make .emphatic protest against the suggested reappointment of Professor yon Zedlitz, and to request that no alien enemy who had been interned be allowed to be reinstated in any position, and, further, to demand, that any German or enemy alien at present holding responsible positions be removed from office.
