COAL MINE DISASTER

NEW YORK, 19th July. An explosion destroyed the Tanwell coal mine at Bluefield, in West Virginia. A fire followed the explosion, and many miners were trapped, but most of them were -rescued. The death roll, which at first was reported to be 220, is now stated to he six.
