Merinos are steady, and crossbreds are slightly weaker. LONDON, 18th July. At the wool sales there is good competition, but prices are unchanged. Continental buyers are operating freely. New Zealand i wool branded CSM realised up to 4lid, the average price being 45d. At a meeting of the Wool Council Sir Arthur Goldfinch said he was prepared, through auctions and direct allocations, to issue periodically at least 25 to 30 per cent, over the I country's maximum consumptive requirements^ of Australian and New Zealand wools.
