BRITISH WOOL MARKET.
(TOHBD PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPTRIOHT.) (AUSTRAUAN-NEW ZEALAND CABI.B ASSOCIATION.) , LONDON, 17th July. At the wool sales there is a moderate attendance. There is a poor selection of combing wools. Prices were firm at late rates, especially, for medium crossbreds. Continental buyers continue to operate freely. The Bradford market is very quiet. Merinos are steady, and crossbreds are slightly weaker. LONDON, 18th July. At the wool sales there is good competition, but prices are unchanged. Continental buyers are operating freely. New Zealand i wool branded CSM realised up to 4lid, the average price being 45d. At a meeting of the Wool Council Sir Arthur Goldfinch said he was prepared, through auctions and direct allocations, to issue periodically at least 25 to 30 per cent, over the I country's maximum consumptive requirements^ of Australian and New Zealand wools.
