NAVY LEAGUE
The monthly meeting of the Navy League yesterday afternoon was presided over by Colonel G. F. C. Campbell. The lion, secretary reported ttiat the school membership -for 1919 had now reached 2200.
The regulations for the Palmer prize were approved^ and the method of circularising all 'the schools of the.Dominion .left in the hands of the Education Committee.
Mrs. Hall-Thompson reported on behalf of the ladies' auxiliary that warm clothing, boxes of home-made cakes, etc., had been sent to the mine-sweepers. Twelve pairs of mine-sweepers' gloves had been sent to each boat. On Sunday 100 members of the crewa of the mine-sweepers were entertained at tea at the Town Hall, and on Monday a successful dance was given in honour of the officers of the visit-" ing'vessels.
Regret was expressed at the early departure for England of Mrs. Hall-Thomp-son, who had! done so much good work for the league.
