A.J. MAHON, Palmerston's Leading Shopping Centre for Men.
Mahon's—This name stands for everything that men appreciate in dress, and is as well known to the best dressed men as the oldest landmark in Palmerston North. Situated in the Square, right opposite the Union Bank, this fine .shop can without fear of contradiction be proclaimed Palmerston's best shopping centre for all pertaining to men's wear and general outfitting. The interior is brimful with all the latest and best in shirts, hats, rainproofs, and overcoats, etc., and on entering one cannot help being struck with the studied order in which everything is arranged to tempt the most exacting and fastidious customer, while the varied designs in clothing and neckwear, and the charming novelties, render an inspection a
source- of pleasurable interest. The business has been established about 18 yeare, and is not only the most popular with local people, but many people from several distant districts deal exclusively at Mahon's, where the quality is a. long way ahead of the average shop, and the prices are easy. ■ Mr; Mahon's extensive knowledge of the trade, and his splendid buying facilities, combined with the studied requirements of his customers, enables him to make exclusive selections of men's wearing apparel, cut and finished in the latest styles. Having thus given Post readers a clear and accurate indication of the business under review, the writer's next desire is to ask men visiting the National Dairy Show how in progress, at Palmerston North to call at Mahon's, and verify for themselves the excellence of the goods, and tho reasonable prices asked for all lines, which includes everything in the nature of clothing, travelling rugs, travelling bags, umbrellas, etc. If there is one thing more than another that 6pecial attention should be directed to in this establishment, it is the big selection of rainproof trench coats now on view. It is doubtful if these will see the present week out, therefore an early visit should be arranged for Mahon's coats and hats are quick selling lines, and the present selection is the best that money can buy.
