Full provision for dealing with acci- : dents.at Duppa-street Park was made by" the St. John Ambulance Brigade on: Saturday afternoon. The Brigade, owing to illness among its members, is somewhat shorthanded/ but nevertheless met- all * needs during the playing of the various' football matches. The remits to be submitted to the annual conference of the N.Z. Returned Soldiers' Association, commencing ,■ on 26th instant, will be discussed at the meeting of.' the local association to be held in the Concert' Chamber, Town Hall, on Wednesday next, at 7.30 p.m. . The subjects of the remits practically cover all problems affecting returned soldiers, and it is expected that there will be a largo attendance. Brigadier-General Richardson, who has another engagement later, will attend the meeting at 7.30. Several maintenance cases came be _ fore Mr. F. V. Frazer, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court to-day.
