ANOTHER MOTOR FATALITY

AN OLD MAN'S DEATH. (BT TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.S CHRISTCHUR.CH, 2nd1 May. David Henderson Brown, aged 63 years, was knocked down by a motor-car last night, and died in the hospital early this morning. ' At the inquest the evidence of the driver of the car, C. Barnett, and the occupants thereof went to show that the deceased was encountered suddenly in the middlo of the road, and though everything possible was done to avoid him, one of the headlights struck him, and threw him on the bonnet of the car; from which ho fell on to the. road. The car was travelling at from twelve to fifteen miles an hour at the time. The inquest was adjourned to enable a postmortem examination to be- held.
