RECORD PRICE FOR BROOD MARE

SYDNEY, Ist May. The brood mare Lady Victoria, with filly by Picquefc, was passed in at the sales at 1650 guineas, and sold privately. The price is stated to be one of the highest ever paid in Australia for a brood mare.
