"KATINKA," TO-NIGHT.
There was a record attendance at the Grand Opera House last evening, when the Royal Comic Opera Company staged "Oh ! Oh ! Delphine" for the last time. To-night the company will be seen in "Katinka," one of the best musical offerings of recent years. The plot deala with the love affairs of Katinka, who in turn is rescued from a Russian, bigamist by Thaddeus T. Hopper, an American, hidden in a Turkish harem, and finally brought safely to Paris to rejoin her lover. Miss Gladys Moncrieff, who has created an excellent impression here, is in the title role, and Mr. Phil Smith as the good-hearted but ever-troubled American is in his element. Others who have principal parts are Misses Florence Young, Olive Godwin, Addis T.ennard. Violet Yorke, and Messrs. Reginald Roberts, Leslie Holland, Jack Raiston. John Forde, Oliver Peacock, Claude Bantoc';, and Harold Reeves. Miss Maie Baird and Mr. Robert Mackinnon will be seen in some excellent dances. "Katinka" will be staged until Tuesday, and on Wednesday and Thursday, "The Pink Lady" will be revived.
