The number of votes cast by undischarged soldiers is smaller than was anticipated. There were about 10,000 men in the Dominion entitled to .vote as soldiers, but some of them may have chosen to vote in their civilian capacity. The Minister of Justice has also announced the following returns of votes cast by soldiers on board ships carrying troops: — „ TRANSPORT lONIC. The votes now to come in include those of the soldiers on several transports, a. few small returns from soldiers in New Zealand, and a few slight additions to the civilian vote.
