MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Messrs. I. SaSek and D. Keir, J.P.«, presided at the 'Magistrate's Court this morning.
Three first-offending inebriates were convicted and discharged, and three others, who did not appear, were o»dered to forfeit their tail (10s).
Douglas Wilkinson, a second offender, was fined 10s, in default 24 hours in gaol, for- drunkenness. John Shannon and John Joseph Patride O'Connell, both firemen on the sfisiuner Athenic, w?ie fined £1, in default 48 hours in the cells, for having behaved in a disorderly manner while drunk in Customhouse-quay yesterday afternoon^
George Patrick M'Xamara admitted having been found drunk and having used obscene language in Vivian-street yesterday. He was convicted and discharged on the first charge, and was given tlie option of. paying a fine of £2 or going to gaol for three days on the second count.
At Lower Hutt to-day, before Messrs. G. A. Chapman and J. Pearce, J.P.s, George Mnller was fined 10s for drunken-' ness, and E. Casey 20s for having used obscene language.
