PRESIDENT WILSON DESIRES DELAY

OBJECTIONS OF BRITAIN AND FRANCE. '

NEW YORK, 20th April. The Paris correspondent of the New York Sim states that President Wilson

has determined to have the whole question of mandatories deferred until the first meeting of the League of Nations, which will probably be held on Ist October. Britain and France have lodged the strongest objection^ to President Wilson's wishes, pointing out that they would leave the territories to which the mandatories will apply in a dangerous and unsettled situation.
