. NAPIER, 21st April. The Waipukurau Annual Meeting was held to-day before a record attendance. The totalisator handled £21,766, a record for the club, against £16,144 last year. Results:—

Maiden Race; seven furlongs.—-1 Tari, 8.5, 1; 2 Glentour, 8.11, 2; 4 Wakatere, 8.11, 3. Also started : Birkelot, Diamond Nap, Woolahra, Goldshine, Murree, The Paga.ii. Won by three lengths. Time, lmin 29sec.

Easter Handicap; once round. —4 Chillies, 7.13 (R. Manson), 1; 1 The Speaker, 8.8, 2; 2 Altercation, 8.11, 3. Also started: 3 Tavistock 8.8. Won by one and a-half lengths. Time, 2min 1 3-ssec.

Hack Handicap; one mile and aquarter.—4 First Salute, B.IL, 1; 5 Carillion, 8.2, 2; 1 Aurore, 8.0, 3. Also started: Wapping, Ethiopian, The Pagan. Won by a head.. Time, 2min 10 4-ssee.
