At the Canterbury Jockey Club's Easter Meeting the totalisator put through £47,535, as against £41,924 last year. Concluding results:— ■ Great Easter Handicap, ,of 1500 soys; seven furlongs.—s Kilbrogan, 7.13, 1; 2 Gay Lad, 7.6, 2; 1 SasanoJF, 9.6, 3. Also started: 4 Nystad 8.9, 12 Rorke's Drift C.3, 7 Punka" 8.2, 8 Red Ribbon 7.11, 6 Tigritiya 7.7, 9 Melee 7.3, 10 Lionfikin 7.0, 11 Eleus 6.10, 3 Old Gold 6.7. In a desperate race to the post Kilbrogan got the verdict by a bare head. Time, linin 27 l-sscv,.

Russley Plate, of 300 boys; five furJongs.— A Night-raider, 8.2, 1; 1 Rossini, 8.2, 2; 3 Some Kid, 8.6, 3. Also started: 1 Valencia 7.7 (coupled with Rossini), 2 Nursing Sister 8.2, 5 Silent King 8.2, 6 Kilgour 7.7, 7 Jewish Maid 7.7. Won by a head, two lengths separating second and third.
