MASTERTON, This Day,

The Maryborough Bowling Club closes its green for the season to-day. Other clubs in the district will be playing till after Easter. A juvenile dancing class was recently instituted in connection with the Wairarapa Caledonian Society, and is being patronised by a large number of young people.

The Rev. J. A. Hosking, who has been Methodist minister at Masterton for several years, leaves for Eltham next week.

According to a Masterton builder, the cost of erecting dwellings has nearly doubled during the last ten or fifteen years.

Mr. Justice Chapman has reserved his decision in the case of C. E. Danioll, Ltd., v. R. Kebbell, a claim for balance alleged to be due on a building contract.
