SOLICITUDE FOR THE WELFARE
OF THE WORKERS.
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPTTRIGIIT.) (PUBLISHED IN THB TIMES.) ROME, sth March. His Holiness the Pope, addressing the Roman Catholic Labour Association, in an Encyclical, states: "Through all these changes in the world the association to-day preserves all its pristine vigour. The Holy Sea's solicitude for the welfare of the workers js undiminished. That welfare merits the attention of all desiring to' promote the general Eood." The Encyclical adds : "The Pope's heart is with those who organise unions and form part of their member-1 ship."
