TIMARU, 6th March.
The Timaru Trotting Club's Meeting was held in beautiful weather. Therq wae a large attendance. The totalisator turnover was £16,921 10s, as compared with £13,751 10s last year, and the previous record of £13,961 ' 10s in 1917. Results:— ■ Trial Handicap, of 100 soys; one mile . and a-half.—3 Wastewood, 7scc,. 1; 5 Winnie G., 7sec, 2; 6 Sunred, 6sec, 3. Won by twenty le.ngths. Time, 3min 42 l-ssec. Wainwte Handicap, of 100 sove; one mile and .a-half.—4- Pietor Timmerman, 12sec, .1; 2 Belgian Lad, 12seo, 2; 8 Elley, 15sec,. 3. Won by six lengths. Time, 3min 47sec. Rita Rose was the favourite. Timaru Handicap, of 300 soys; two miles.—4 Hannah M., Bsec, 1; 2 Shanghai, 6sec, 2; 3 Bundura, osec, 3. Won by a neck. . Time, 4min 4Saec.
