TIMARU, 28th February. The Industries Committee sat for four hours this afternoon, and. exhaustive evidence was taken on the' wheat-growing industry, John Talbot being the chief witness. Other matters dealt with were the Island fruit trade, deep-sea fishing off Timaru, the rectification of railway tariff anomalies, the fur industry, and electric power. ■ /•' ■ .
