HIDE SALES
-Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltvin and Co'.,.'and Murray Roberts and Co. report ihavjng held their fortnightly sales of indies-and tallow on Friday. Competition was".!keen, and prices for sound hides showed an advance of about id per lb. Calfskins were firm at last rates. Tallow, was entirely neglected, and all lines were passed in. The range of prices was as follows : Ox, heavy, 601b up, 12d, 14'4'd; ox, medium, 50/59, 12d, 13d; ox 7 light, 49 and under, lid, llfd; cow; heavy, 551b and over, llfd; cow, medium, 42 to 54, lid, llfd; cow, light, under 421b, lOd, llfd; cut, slippy, and inferior, 6d, 101 d ; bull, stag, 7|d, 9£d ; yearlings, 16/241b, lOjd, 12d; calf, superior, up to 161b, 19d, 23d; calf, medium-good, 17d, 22d; calf, damaged, Bldi,l7d.
