There was some good batting and some poor fielding iri the match Petone v. East. Brice was playing again and knocked up 30 for Petone, who batted first. Smyrke had a narrow escape'early in the innings, but eventually made 91/, not out. Petone scored 289 runs, and East lost one wicket for 69. Petone.—First Innings.
