MIRAMAR BOROUGH COUNCIL
The Miramar Borough Council.held its general, meeting last evening. - The Mayor, Mr. F.. Townsend, presided, and there were present Councillors S. H. Underwood, M. I: Tracy, W. H. Green, J. Pollock, H. K. Robertshaw, and C. A. Chapman. ; '" The traffic manager of the City Tramways advised that, as a new car would be in commission towards the end of the month; an extra car from Lambton station to Seatoun could be run" at 4.50 p.m. to prevent the crowding on the 5.1 car.
, Mr. E A. Wright, M.P., wrote, finfornling the council that the resolution in reference to the upkeep of fire brigades being shared equally by the Gov eminent, the. insurance companies, and the local bodies, would receive h^ie support.
r A resident of Inglis-street, Seatoun, asked that a good i-oad light be instaUed in that part of Inglis-street which lies about 100 to 150 paces from the sea. It was decided that no action should be taken at the present time, as the matter of extending street lighting is under consideration.
