STATE MINERS STOP WORK
MEDICAL MAN WANTED.
(IttZ TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.)
GREYMOUTH, (This Day. The State miners held a stop-work meeting this morning, and decided, by 158 votes to 18, not to resume work until a medical man was secured for the district.
Urgent telegrams have been sent to the Ministers for Mines and Health regarding the matter. A deputation leaves for Wellington to-morrow. Dr. Meade, formerly medical officer, left on Saturday' morning, en route for England.
